Data Framework Working Group

AREAS OF FOCUS:

Utilities have more opportunities than ever to create tomorrow’s electric grid using today’s data. That’s where the Data Framework Working Group (formerly AEIC’s Data Analytics Council) comes in.

The Data Framework Working Group brings utility leaders and practitioners together to turn data into real operational value... and real results. To get there, utilities need shared standards, trusted governance, secure integration, and a practical path from strategy to the field. This group is building that foundation, so data is reliable, accessible, and actionable for the decisions that matter most.

Members are typically vice presidents, directors, managers, supervisors, senior data analysts, and representatives from AEIC’s other committees.

Coming Soon: Data Framework Toolkit

We’re working on developing best practices and guidance to help utilities streamline the adoption of modern data systems, break down silos, and scale the ability to gather, govern, access, and analyze electric-system related data. This framework will enable:

  • Consistent and secure data practices across utilities

  • Faster adoption of AI, analytics, and digital tools

  • Shared learning and reuse of proven architectures and governance models

  • Hands-on implementation through education, pilot projects, and aligned vendor participation

Stay tuned for the release of our Data Framework Toolkit later this year. Want access? Contact Elizabeth Cook at ecook@aeic.org.

Virtual Meetings

All meetings will be from 1:00-2:30 PM EST.
